Welcome!

I'm Nicola Pritchard-Pink and I'm so glad you're here.

writer | historian | singer

I've loved working in the heritage sector, and have been lucky enough to work at Hampshire Record Office for over ten years, for the National Trust for three years, and freelance at the Tudor House Museum in Southampton for eight years.

I've got a Masters in Eighteenth Century Studies from the University of Southampton with distinction, where I specialised in Georgian and Regency social history, literature, landscapes, country houses, and women's domestic music.

I'm the author of 'Dibdin and Jane Austen: Musical Cultures of Gentry Women' which featured in the book Charles Dibdin and Late Georgian Culture (Oxford University Press, 2018)

As an experienced public speaker I am very happy to speak to local groups on a variety of topics to do with social history and heritage. See my page on public speaking to find out more.

I am also an accomplished singer, and have written and performed a sell-out Regency Recital based on Jane Austen's music collection. I've also been a regular winner at the Southampton Festival of Music and Drama in various categories from opera to French Song. Check out my singing page for more info.
